Zayn Malik has canceled all of the dates on the upcoming leg of his U.S. tour.

The former One Direction star, in an Instagram Story on May 1, shared that due to ongoing health concerns, he is reducing the number of shows on his upcoming Konnakol Tour, including the cancellation of all of his shows scheduled in the United States.

The news comes weeks after Malik shared he had been hospitalized for an undisclosed health issue, but was "unexpectedly recovering." The 33-year-old shared the health setback on the same day of the release of his fifth studio album, "Konnakol."

"I’ve been at home recovering and I’m doing well and will be better and stronger than before," Malik said in the May 1 post. "I want to make sure I still get out and see as many of you as I possibly can. I’m really looking forward to playing these shows for you, and I hope to see the rest of you around the world very soon. Big Love, Z."

USA TODAY contacted Malik's team for more information.
