- Starz has ordered a new drama set in the world of Black rodeo.

- The series follows three siblings in Texas.

- The network is home to the *Power* universe.

The network that is powered by *Power* is now looking for its *Yellowstone*.

On Thursday, Starz announced plans for a new family drama set inside the world of Black rodeo in Texas. The project hails from showrunner Kirk A. Moore (*Jack Ryan*) and producers involved with* Breaking Bad*, *Interview With the Vampire*, and *Dexter: Resurrection*.

Here's the official logline: "Infused with hip hop swagger and country soul, the series unfolds in Southeast Texas, where rodeo isn’t just what you do — it’s who you are. At the center are three siblings bound by the legacy their mother built and the unfinished business their father left behind. Driven by their own ambitions and drawn into each other’s orbit, alliances shift, relationships tangle, and nothing stays private for long."

Outside of *Outlander*, Starz's last decade-plus has been built on the success of the Black-led *Power* Universe. *Power *first debuted in 2014, and the crime drama became a record-setting performer for Starz, prompting the network to reveal plans for four spinoffs on the day of *Power*'s series finale. Production is currently underway on on the fifth show, *Power: Origins*, which will serve as a prequel and investigates the younger years of the universe's original antiheroes, Ghost and Tommy.

The only comparison on streaming and premium network TV to *Power* is *Yellowstone*. The Western drama was the beginning of Taylor Sheridan's empire, and the fourth *Yellowstone* spinoff premieres next month. Given the popularity of Sheridan's cowboys, many have tried to find their own *Yellowstone*, including Netflix with *Ransom Canyon* and Prime Video with *Outer Range*.

“Messy family dynamics, jaw-dropping spectacle and an undeniable swagger — this is the kind of bold, original storytelling we’re proud to own from the ground up,” Starz's president of original programming Kathryn Busby said of their new show. “With a touch of urban grit and a huge dose of country soul, it’s Texas through and through. There’s nothing else like it, and we’re thrilled to bring it to Starz’s audiences.”
