*The View* has given its own State of the Union address in reaction to Donald Trump's State of the Union address.

Hours after Tuesday night's event saw the president spar with Rep. Ilhan Omar, label left-leaning politicians as "crazy," and witness Rep. Al Green hold up a protest sign that read, "Black people aren't apes" in reference to a recent scandal, the talk show cohost slammed the politically charged evening as an embarrassment to the nation.

"I was true to my word, I watched *Bob's Burgers* and had a great time. But then it ended at 8:00, so I was forced to go and watch this stuff," moderator Whoopi Goldberg admitted, insisting that she tried to avoid it altogether.

Amanda Carpenter, a fill-in conservative cohost who also previously worked as a senior staffer for Ted Cruz, criticized Omar for shouting at Trump during the telecast, adding, "We've got to find ways to not participate in that and give him that kind of advantage. I can't believe we haven't learned this lesson after 10-plus years."

Comedian and longtime *View* panelist Joy Behar, however, went in on Trump specifically.

"I watched the whole thing, and I was physically ill from it — and more nauseous than usual, watching him. The way he was demonizing immigrants made me sick," Behar said. "We welcomed immigrants in this country. My family left Italy because there was no work in southern Italy, and they came here. That's why I'm sitting here today. It made me feel really sad. That's the reason America has been what it is."

She added that she "was furious and scared as Bert and Ernie kept jumping up behind him. Every time he lied, 'The economy is great,' these idiots would [say] 'Yay.' [He'd say] immigrants are the problem? 'Yay!' It was sickening to watch," she said, referencing Vice President JD Vance and Speaker Mike Johnson seated behind Trump during the speech.

Former federal prosecutor and legal expert Sunny Hostin said she "almost fell asleep" at what's been reported as the longest State of the Union address in history.

"That's what got to me as well, the demonization of the entire Somali population. It was disgraceful. Language matters. Saying that people are illegal aliens? That really matters," Hostin added. "We haven't used that term for so long, now it's back in vogue. You are not illegal as a human being just because you're undocumented. That, for me, felt dehumanizing to our immigrant population."

Goldberg ended the segment by calling Trump "insanely rude" for only welcoming the U.S. men's hockey team to the address, and leaving out other athletes who won big for the nation at the recent Winter Olympics in Italy.

"A lot of people won gold for the U.S.," Goldberg said. "The women's hockey team, and the young skater who comes from an immigrant family."

When reached for comment on *The View* cohosts' review of the State of the Union address, White House spokesperson Davis Ingle tells ** via email, “Sunny Hostin, Whoopi Goldberg, and ‘Joyless’ Behar are extremely unlikeable, talentless hacks with a poorly rated TV show who clearly suffer from a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome. President Trump delivered an incredible State of the Union Address where he outlined his successes in delivering on the mandate that nearly 80 million Americans voted for – to Make America Great Again."

It should be noted, however, that *The View *is not a poorly rated television show. According to a network report distributed to the press and obtained by EW, the show recently registered as the No. 1-rated show in total households and viewers among all daytime programs. According to the report, released on Feb. 11, the show posted gains for three consecutive weeks, including "double digit" increases in female-led demographics.
