Texas Roadhouse is opening its first standalone store in South Korea on April 28 in Seoul's Jamsil neighborhood

Texas Roadhouse is expanding its stake in another country.
The fast-casual steakhouse chain is opening its first standalone store in Seoul, South Korea on April 28, according to an Instagram post. The Texas Roadhouse Jamsil Flagship store, which is in the Jamsil neighborhood of Seoul, is “the very first Texas Roadhouse standalone store in Korea,” according to the caption of the post.
“We've also prepared a special opening event on Tuesday, April 28,” the chain wrote in the caption. “If you're heading to Jamsil this weekend, stop by Texas Roadhouse.”
The translation of the part of the caption written in Korean also indicated that there has been a lot of interest in the new store, along with demands to know exactly when the store would be opening.
“There are a lot of DM inquiries and questions, but you must have been frustrated because the exact opening date is not shared, so I will reveal the opening date,” it said in translation.
The chain, which is known for its Hand-Cut Steaks, Fall-Off-The-Bone Ribs and Fresh-Baked Bread served with honey butter, has several other locations in South Korea located in various Hyundai outlets and department stores, but this new opening marks the restaurant's first standalone store in the country.
The comments reacted excitedly to the news.
“I will come as often as I can!” one commenter wrote, asking, “Can we make reservations?”

“Them Texas Roadhouse Rolls are so delicious,” another said.
According to Texas Roadhouse's 2025 Q4 Earning Summary, the chain opened eight new stores last year. The chain also said that it now employs over 100,000 “Roadies,” the name that it calls its team members.
Texas Roadhouse was started in Clarksville, Ind. in 1993 and has since expanded to 816 restaurants across 49 U.S. states, one U.S. territory and 10 other countries, according to the chain's website. Of those restaurants, 744 are Texas Roadhouses, while the others are different concepts under Texas Roadhouse, Inc. called Bubba's 33 and Jaggers.
The chain went viral in 2024 for its $45 Family Pack deal.
Influencer Autumn Jackpot shared a viral video showing what comes in the restaurant's Family Pack – a full pan of a main dish like sirloin steak or chicken critters (the chain's chicken tenders), two large portions of sides like mashed potatoes and green beans, a dozen rolls and a family-size house or Caesar salad. Included were cinnamon butter, dipping sauces and gravy.
A Texas Roadhouse representative told PEOPLE at the time that a Family Pack can range from $40 to $50, depending on the location.
The comments praised the amount of food that came in the deal under the video, which had over 785,000 likes at the time.
