Queen Camilla headed to the airport as her visit to the United States with King Charles came to a close.
While King Charles left the U.S. with much fanfare as he boarded a plane to Bermuda on April 30, his wife didn't join him for his first visit as monarch to a British Overseas Territory. Instead, the Queen caught travelers off guard by casually making her way through an airport terminal, with some sharing footage on social media of the surprise royal encounter.
Queen Camilla, 78, was spotted walking through an airport in a quick clip, wearing the same blue outfit she had on for her engagements in Virginia on Thursday. She was surrounded by people in suits, drawing the attention of fellow travelers.

King Charles and Queen Camilla were in the U.S. this week for a state visit commemorating America's 250th anniversary of independence.
It marked the couple's first visit to the U.S. since the King's accession to the throne in 2022, and they visited Washington, D.C., New York City and Virginia in a schedule that ran from Monday, April 27, to Thursday, April 30.
On Thursday morning, the King and Queen said farewell to President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump at the White House in Washington, D.C., and then headed to Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia, to honor the fallen.

The King, 77, stepped out at the scenic Shenandoah National Park to learn more about the U.S. National Park system and its programs, while the Queen toured a horse farm to highlight the American horse racing industry. King Charles is a passionate advocate for conservation, while the Queen has a keen interest in the horse world, making both of the outings thoughtful stops.
While Queen Camilla's agenda ended there, the King continued with travel to his next destination: Bermuda. The sovereign flew out of Joint Base Andrews in Maryland for a solo sojourn to Bermuda, where he'll visit from Friday, May 1, to Saturday, May 2.
The British sovereign traveled there for his first royal visit as monarch to a British Overseas Territory and touched down on Thursday night.
