Prince Harry Reunites With an Unexpected Relative During a Rare Solo Outing in the U.K.

Prince Harry was spotted at the Gallagher Prem match between Leicester and Gloucester in Leicester on October 9.
He was joined by his cousin George Mccorquodale, son of Princess Diana’s sister.
Harry and Meghan Markle moved back to the U.K. in late August.
Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle have been back in the U.K. since late August. Although the couple have kept a low profile since their return, on October 9, the prince stepped out for a rare outing without Meghan. The prince was spotted enjoying the Gallagher Prem match between Leicester and Gloucester in Leicester, England. In an unexpected twist, the outing saw him reuniting with his cousin, George Mccorquodale, who is the son of Harry’s mother, Princess Diana’s sister, Sarah McCorquodale.

Harry, who wore a black puffy Vuori jacket and a navy shirt below, has long been close to the Mccorquodales. In 2018, for instance, Harry and Meghan both attended the wedding of George’s sister, Celia McCorquodale. In 2024, Diana’s siblings Sarah and Charles Spencer also attended the Invictus Games 10th Anniversary Service at St Paul’s Cathedral in London in support of Harry. That year, Harry also stayed with his uncle Charles after attending Lord Robert Fellowes’s funeral.

Harry and Meghan relocated back to the U.K. in late July. When asked how life was since their return, Harry recently replied, “It’s been eventful. But, you know, we’re getting stuck into the work. Kids are in school. We’re happy. And, as I said, it’s great to be back on British soil, and looking forward to Birmingham next year for the Invictus Games that’s coming up.”
Although Harry has reunited with some of his British relatives, things reportedly remain tense between him and his father King Charles and his brother Prince William. He has yet to meet with his father in person, per Page Six. A royal source said that he has, however, had “multiple phone calls with Charles.”
