An expert has commented on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s outing on October 15. According to the royal commentator, the couple has been aiming to create a consistent public narrative with their newest public appearance.

The remark came as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been reportedly planning a visit to Nottingham that mirrors a traditional royal tour. The trip would mark a return to the U.K. and to the city where they made one of their first joint appearances.

Sharing her perspective on Express, Megan Bull notes, “What is surprising, however, is the fact that they’ve chosen it as the setting for their first official outing in the UK since moving to the Cotswolds in August. Given that it served as the backdrop for their milestone royal engagement in 2017, it feels like the couple are cultivating a very specific and deliberate narrative here.”

She further suggests that the couple wants to hit reset and return to square one, acting as if they never left the royal family. They are setting aside past controversies, interviews and memoirs instead of addressing them. In doing so, the Sussexes are signaling that they want to resume royal duties and turn back time.

Since stepping down as working royals and relocating to the U.S., Harry and Meghan have made a series of explosive claims against the royal ramily.
