Kim Kardashian and her daughter North West defended the teenager’s bold style again while appearing on a TikTok livestream together this month

North shut down comments labeling her ā€œdemonicā€ because of her bold makeup and outfit choices, which Kardashian said her eldest child has wanted since she was in pre-K

In a video of the livestream shared on X, North also said that her fashion choices aren’t a result of Kardashian’s divorce from Kanye West

North West continues to keep up with her style, despite what the haters are saying about her appearance.

The 13-year-old rapper appeared on a recent TikTok livestream alongside her mom, Kim Kardashian, during which the two addressed criticism of the teenager’s bold fashion choices.

Per a screen recording of the live shared on X, North shut down comments about her looking ā€œdemonic,ā€ saying, ā€œStop saying I’m demonic. No, I’m not. Just because I like to dress this way, don’t judge a book by its cover.ā€

Kardashian, 45, chimed in, adding, ā€œYeah, I feel like people say that because of the black grills and just, like, piercings and stuff.ā€

ā€œBut I don’t know why you guys should put that with demonic because I don’t get that,ā€ replied North, to which Kardashian reassured, ā€œI don’t think people really get it, but do you care?ā€

During another part of the livestream, North shared the story behind the white ā€œgothic Lolita outfitā€ worn for her first headlining gig at The Vic Theatre in Chicago in September.

ā€œI was like, if I’m gonna do my first show ever, I gotta come in like an angel in all white. You guys know I’m not on that demon stuff. I believe in Jesus. That’s how I came to show you guys I’m actually a light, not dark.ā€

The All’s Fair actress expressed her surprise at her daughter’s symbolic look, then commented on being the subject of false narratives. ā€œIsn’t it funny, well not funny but kind of crazy, when you see things and people say something about a narrative about your life and then it’s just so the opposite. They think they know and say it. It’s so crazy.ā€

In another clip posted on X, Kardashian further defended her eldest daughter’s aesthetic, explaining that it was something she was into since she was much younger. ā€œWhen she was a baby, dropping her off at school, all she wanted was her septum pierced and her eyebrow pierced,ā€ said the SKIMS founder. ā€œShe would do like a double brow in pre-K going in with fake piercings.ā€

Added North, ā€œSo you guys can’t say, where did the style [come from], is this style from the divorce? No, queen.ā€ Kardashian and North’s father, Kanye West, finalized their divorce in 2022. In addition to North, the former couple also shares sons Saint, 10, and Psalm, 7, and youngest daughter Chicago, 8.

In the last year, North has sparked conversations online because of her body piercings — including the modifications on her thighs, hands and neck — her blue hair and fake tattoos.

But speaking with Dazed for a cover story released in August, the ā€œPiercing on my Handā€ artist said that expressing herself through fashion and beauty is her priority. ā€œEveryone’s in love with boys, vaping and doing all kinds of bad stuff,ā€ North said. ā€œAll I want is blue hair and piercings.ā€

ā€œThey just make you your full self,ā€ she also told the outlet when asked what piqued her interest in getting pierced, then adding where her parents draw the line, revealing, ā€œI really want to get my bridge pierced, but I’m not allowed.ā€
