Melissa Gilbert is sharing an update on her living situation amid her husband Timothy Busfield's ongoing legal troubles.

The Little House on the Prairie star, 62, revealed she's moving out of her New York City apartment and offered a look inside the moving process in an Instagram post shared on Tuesday, June 23.

"So long perfect little one bedroom apartment on the Upper West Side. The last eight years here have been so special," she began in the caption.

In the first slide, stacks of boxes labeled for various items are shown lined up against the wall. The next image shows Gilbert laying on the floor next to the boxes, followed by a snap of what her home looked like before it was all packed up.

"A lot of amazing work was done in and around this city," she continued in the caption. "So many theaters and soundstages. So many wonderful dinners with friends and nights out on the town. I'll miss the walking and our neighborhood, the subway rides, the amazing people I've met there and on the streets. This city truly has a pulse. You can feel it in your heart."

Gilbert added, "Goodbye favorite newsstand, bodega, dance studio, and laundry. Goodbye shoe repair, dry cleaners, nail salon. Goodbye sweet neighbors whom we love so much. And a very fond 'farewell and see you soon' to our favorite city in the world."

In the last slide of the post, she included a video tour of her apartment during the packing process, revealing a bare mattress leaning against the wall in her bedroom before moving on to her nearly empty bathroom. From the kitchen, she shared a look at the living room filled with flat cardboard boxes and furniture being prepared for the move.

Gilbert concluded her post by seemingly alluding to her husband's legal troubles while explaining where they're going next.

"I promise we will be back it's just that right now…..well….you know. Excited to live in our wonderful home upstate full time for a good long while," she wrote.

On Feb. 6, Busfield, 69, was indicted by a grand jury in New Mexico on four counts of criminal sexual contact of a minor (child under 13). All counts, which are third-degree felonies, pertained to alleged events that occurred in October 2022 and September 2023.

The West Wing actor, who has been married to Gilbert since 2013, pleaded not guilty to all charges against him. Recently, he filed a motion to quash the grand jury indictment, according to court records previously obtained by PEOPLE.

The motion alleges "prosecutorial misconduct during grand jury proceedings" and says that "exculpatory evidence was repressed and suppressed," Busfield's lawyer has said.

The actor was first arrested on Jan. 13 on charges of two counts of criminal sexual contact of a minor and one count of child abuse. In a Jan. 9 warrant issued by the Albuquerque Police Department, it was alleged that Busfield engaged in unlawful sexual conduct with twin 11-year-old boys whose identities have not been publicly disclosed.

One week later, he was released from custody following a pretrial detention hearing in Bernalillo County, New Mexico.

In an interview with Good Morning America that aired in April after her husband's arrest, Gilbert said she's "100% confident he will be exonerated," and that she had spoken with Busfield about the allegations. "I heard his side of the story — which nobody has ever heard — which is the truth. And when the time is right, and that is not now, Tim will tell the truth of all of these past allegations when he needs to," she said.
