Donald Trump was accompanied by a woman bearing a striking resemblance to his wife aboard Air Force One, as first lady Melania Trump continues to stay out of the public spotlight.

Melania's lookalike, Margo Martin, was spotted boarding the presidential aircraft with White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, and at first glance, her white top and black pants ensemble made her almost indistinguishable from the first lady.

Martin is the 31-year-old special assistant and communications advisor to Trump, and she appears to be a constant presence at the president's side during official engagements, regularly sharing videos of him on her X account. This follows reports that Melania Trump has 'grown apart' from Donald Trump amid her conspicuous White House absence.

Trump's "most beautiful" aide was photographed walking across the airport tarmac with Leavitt, Trump's executive assistant Natalie Harp, and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, as the group headed toward Air Force One at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland.

President Donald Trump was also captured in photos as he climbed aboard the aircraft on Tuesday. Melania was nowhere to be seen as the president headed to Geneva, Ohio, to observe young Americans competing in the Patriot Games, reports the Irish Star.

Trump once described Martin as "the most beautiful photographer in the world," and she has frequently been mistaken for Melania by social media users due to their similar hair styling and fashion tastes. The sunglasses Martin wore on Tuesday especially contributed to her resemblance to Melania.

It remains uncertain whether Melania will join her husband for the final day of the Patriot Games on Tuesday, as she was not seen boarding Air Force One with the group.

Trump is scheduled to support the top 32 athletes who advanced to the final round of the Patriot Games, a competition that selected one male and one female athlete from each of the 50 states to participate. The winners, one boy and one girl, will each receive $125,000 in college scholarship money.

While Martin is frequently seen accompanying the president, Melania's absence has been conspicuous. The first lady's most recent public appearance with her husband was in mid-July when she attended the FIFA World Cup final with the Trump family, including her son, Barron.

Melania was absent from recent high-profile events, including the rescheduled White House Correspondents' Dinner on July 24 or the funeral service for Senator Lindsey Graham days later on July 28.

According to a report by the Daily Beast, Melania has only been seen in public on 38 days of the year so far, making her one of the least-active first ladies in U.S. history. According to The Daily Beast, Melania has averaged just one public appearance or official event every six days in 2026.

The first lady has had a particularly low-key summer, with the outlet reporting she made only five public appearances across both June and July. Her whereabouts remain unknown, as she has been conspicuously absent from a number of high-profile events alongside the president, including the Patriot Games on Tuesday.
