Meghan Markle recently revealed that her daughter Princess Lilibet has taken an interest in gymnastics.

The Duchess of Sussex told other kids about her little one during an official appearance in Nottingham, England, on October 15.

Princess Charlotte, 11, is also said to be a fan of gymnastics, along with ballet, soccer, netball, and more.

Despite having grown up across the pond from one another, it seems that cousins Princess Charlotte and Princess Lilibet share a similar love for the same activity.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made their first joint public appearances in the U.K. on October 15 after moving back in late August. The couple made more than one stop in Nottingham, England, and at one point, Meghan revealed that her young daughter Lilibet is a big fan of gymnastics—much like Charlotte.

While visiting the charitable organization Community Recording Studio (CRS), a cause close to the Sussexes’ hearts, Meghan took part in a confidence-building workshop with young kids aged 10 to 11 as they made crafts, according to People. The Duchess of Sussex spoke with the children and asked them what they liked to do “to feel most yourselves.” Some of the kids mentioned hobbies including gymnastics and crafting.

“My daughter’s doing gymnastics right now. She loves it,” Meghan responded, referring to 5-year-old Lilibet

“Sometimes you have to remember to be kind to yourself. And remember to talk to ourselves as we talk to our best friends,” the As Ever founder told the children.

Lilibet’s big cousin, Charlotte, is also a fan of the sport, according to her dad, Prince William. He revealed the detail at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in August, sharing, that the 11-year-old “loves gymnastics and ballet,” per The Telegraph. Charlotte has also taken a liking to ballet, soccer, rugby, and netball. According to the Daily Mail, Charlotte “competes at a high level all over the country” in netball and is very skilled.

Despite their similarities, including their shared love of Jellycats, Charlotte and Lilibet have likely not spent any time together. Lilibet has lived in Montecito, California, her entire life after Meghan and Harry stepped back from their royal roles in 2020 and moved to the U.S. Her brother, Prince Archie, was born in the U.K., and the entire family made their return to Harry’s home country on August 26, moving into a private residence in the Cotswolds.

On top of their physical distance, the strained relationship between Harry and William has created another divide between the Sussex and Wales families. The brothers have been estranged for several years, though Harry has seemingly maintained a relationship with their father, King Charles.

Harry’s proximity to his family has been a source of intrigue, as royal fans wonder what this will mean for their relationship. On Thursday, Meghan told well-wishers, “It’s great to be back.” Now that both Lilibet and Archie have been settled into their new school— with Meghan giving a glimpse of them soaking in their new life in England— a source toldPeople that Harry and Meghan are “excited to focus more on their work and the projects that matter to them.”
