Bethenny Frankel, the Real Housewives of New York City star and founder of Skinnygirl, wanted to turn chicken salad into a celebrity showdown. But there seems to be one problem: Martha Stewart isn’t playing along.

Frankel recently invited Stewart to join her viral Chicken Salad Olympics challenge, seemingly hoping to create a fun face-off between two familiar names in the food and lifestyle world. However, weeks have passed, and Stewart has not responded yet.

According to an entertainment insider, Stewart’s lack of response may have taken some of the excitement out of Frankel’s challenge. “In Hollywood, the fastest way to kill a publicity stunt is to ignore it,” the insider said. “That’s exactly what Martha has done.”

Meanwhile, other celebrity chefs have been much quicker to get involved in the viral food challenge. Cat Cora, Rocco DiSpirito and Billy Durney reportedly accepted Frankel’s challenge, giving the competition some extra star power, as reported by RadarOnline.

Still, Stewart was apparently the name Frankel was really after. As another source said, “Bethenny wasn’t looking for just another chef.” The source added, “She wanted Martha because she’s the ultimate prize.”

That makes Stewart’s silence even more noticeable. After all, a chicken salad battle featuring Stewart would have given the challenge a much bigger spotlight. “Without Martha taking the bait, the whole challenge loses its spark,” the source added.

For now, there’s no word on whether Stewart plans to respond. So, while other chefs have already entered the kitchen, Frankel may have to wait a little longer to find out whether the ultimate chicken salad showdown is actually happening.
