Jonathan Scott gave a detailed tour of his New York City home that he shares with fiancée Zooey Deschanel in a video shared to his YouTube channel on Feb. 20
In the tour, he unveils some never-before-seen spaces, from the bold kids’ bathroom to his tucked away office space
Scott also explains why he and Deschanel had to go “even more bold” with this property in comparison to their permanent residence in L.A.
Jonathan Scott is giving fans an even closer look at his New York City home that he shares with fiancée Zooey Deschanel.
Months after he and Deschanel first opened the doors to their elegant, maximalist abode in Downtown Manhattan, Scott, 47, took to his YouTube channel, Drew & Jonathan, to unveil some never-before-seen spaces in the home.
“If you have wondered what the real scoop is with Zooey and my New York apartment, let me give you a little behind the scenes, behind the scenes,” he begins in the Feb. 20 video. “Because it's just me doing the tour, I'm going to give you so much detail that you'll be sick of me by the end of it.”
As the couple spent years renovating their primary residence in Los Angeles to make it their perfect home, Scott says they had to take it up a notch with their East Coast apartment.

“I want you to understand how we created a place that we absolutely love, when we already have a home in L.A. that we love,” he says. “The trick was we had to do things here that were even more bold and that were even more exciting.”
One newly-unveiled space that fits this description perfectly is the bright blue kids’ bathroom. Deschanel shares daughter Elsie, 10, and son Charlie, 8, with her ex-husband Jacob Pechenik.

“This bathroom is so bold,” Scott describes the space. “It's sophisticated at the same time as it is whimsical.”
As he explains how the entire room’s color palette was inspired by the vintage light fixture on the ceiling, the camera pans around to reveal the blue checkered floor tiles and blue cabinetry. He quips: “So, if you want to pee somewhere real fun, this is the room for you.”
Another new space Scott debuts in the video is the Parisian-style guest room adorned with burgundy wall panels, an elegant statement chandelier and massive windows.
“If you’re coming to visit us, this is where you’re staying,” Scott says. “We love traveling to Europe, and we’ve been in so many cool Parisian hotels. We're like, we want this room to have the aesthetic that we've seen in many of those hotels.”

He also notes that the street is located on the other side of the property, so his and Deschanel’s guests “get the most peaceful, quiet nights” when they stay with them.

Moving downstairs, Scott walks viewers over to his office, which is located right next to the game area.
“At any given moment, you'll see either a great craft or a great game being played here, which sometimes can be distracting because it's right next to my office,” he says as he brings viewers inside the space. “When I'm out East, this is where I'm working.”

The camera pans around the tucked away work space adorned with a “beautiful, deep walnut tone throughout the whole office.”
Viewers catch a glimpse of the massive shelf installed on the wall behind him, which is fully stocked with a selection of books. The opposite wall features his built-in desk area with plenty of storage space.

A door in the back of the room leads to another “hidden secret” space: the laundry room.
“We just kind of hide it off – you would never know,” Scott says as he shuts the sliding door. He then opens it and reveals the colorful wallpaper and blue tiled floors.
“You'll see in here, even a laundry room can be pretty,” he says. “This is more than enough storage for us. We've got our studio styler — so we can do our own dry cleaning — washer, dryer, lots of counter space. You know, just a nice little extra space in here.”
