Harry Styles is looking back on his Album of the Year win at the 2023 Grammy Awards.

In a new interview with Apple Music's Zane Lowe, Styles recalled taking home the coveted award for his Harry's House album and how a flight attendant and a self-written letter kept him grounded afterward.

"It was a really interesting experiment for me to be in that conversation," said the "Aperture" singer, 32, of winning Album of the Year. "I think, also, you're in this bubble of Grammys and stuff, so you're rehearsing, and everything in your life is kind of leading up to that moment."

Styles then opened up about writing himself a letter the day before the Grammys with the intention of opening it the day after the ceremony.

"I wanted to catch myself with whatever happened, if I was disappointed or if I was feeling myself a little too much," he said. "I'm paraphrasing, but it basically said something like, ‘Whatever everyone just told you, it's not true. Remember why you made it. That is the reward.’"

He added, "I remember opening it and being like, ‘I was so smart two days ago to do this.'"

Styles then revealed how a flight attendant further humbled him after the win. "I was in LA, it was like a couple of days after [winning Album of the Year]. I was feeling like, you know, everyone makes you feel like you're kind of top of the mountain," he said.

"I got on my flight back to London, and the stewardess came up, and she was like, ‘Oh, congrats on your Emmy. I saw your grandma gave it to you. That must have been nice.’ And I was like, ‘Oh yeah,'" continued Styles, who was presented with the Grammy Award by superfan Reina Lafantaisie — not his grandmother.

"I was like, outside of the bubble it’s not a thing," he noted.

Styles' new album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally., comes out on Friday, March 6.
