Hilaria Baldwin was always meant to be in the spotlight!
During an exclusive astrology reading for the PEOPLE App, the yoga instructor and entrepreneur, 42, didn’t hesitate to own her Capricorn sun, deeply resonating with this Earth sign’s relationship with authority, resilience and responsibility.
“I feel like I very much am a Capricorn and I am somebody who takes care of everyone around me,” she tells PEOPLE astrologer Valerie Mesa exclusively. “But I'm not always good at letting other people take care of me.”
When I began looking into her birth chart, one placement stood out to me immediately — not just her Capricorn sun, disciplined and rooted in her fourth house of home and family — but what sits at the very top of her chart, an area representing one’s public persona and reputation in the world.
Baldwin was born with a Midheaven in Gemini and her North Node of Fate is also hovering over this area of her chart, symbolic of visibility and career.
I explained that this is one of the clearest indicators of someone who is meant to be seen, heard and recognized in this lifetime.
As if this weren’t enough to prove her notoriety, having both the North Node and Midheaven in an intellectual and multifaceted sign like Gemini can also speak to press, buzz, storytelling and media, something she’s become quite familiar with over the years.
“Can we say that a little louder for the people in the back, being like, ‘You're only here because of your husband,'” she says with a laugh, referencing her husband, actor Alec Baldwin, with whom she shares seven children. "For all the trolls in the back, let's say it!"
With her husband, 68, being an Aries sign, they're both Cardinal signs, which are known as "initiators" in astrology. While Alec's Aries sign makes him the "accelerator" in the relationship, Baldwin is the "stabilizing force" in their family.

"Absolutely," Baldwin agrees. "I'm the rock in the house," though she notes they both "feed off" of each other's energy.
Having Gemini at the top of her chart can also explain why she wears so many hats: author, yoga instructor, mother, wife, public figure and businesswoman. This Air sign is known for its innate ability to evolve and continuously pivot.
“I would always say to my students, I learn as much from you guys as I teach you because when I teach, I'm witnessing whether I'm communicating properly, and then also I get inspired to go and then learn something new to be able to hone it or jump into something completely different,” she says.
When I continued reading her chart, her Capricorn Sun in the fourth house added another layer to her strength and reputation. I explained that this placement often shows someone who becomes the backbone of their environment, building stability behind the scenes.
“Yeah. I'm a very regimented person, and I think some of it is my ADHD, but I think some of it is my Capricorn and all the things that you're talking about,” she says. “
“Obviously, my life is chaotic and my job is very nomadic,” she continues. “I've got seven kids, so it's just complete chaos, but I have certain things that I like to do and I'm always happier when those things happen and they're kind of non-negotiables.”
That balance — between her visibility and personal structure — truly encapsulates the full picture of her chart. But when it comes to the spotlight, it was never something she stepped into by association… or marriage! It was always part of where she was going.
