Heidi Klum joked about how her statue-inspired look for the 2026 Met Gala didn't make it easy to go to the bathroom
The supermodel paid homage to Raffaelle Monti's Veiled Vestal sculpture
"Thinking about the fact that statues don't get bathroom breaks," Klum wrote on TikTok
Heidi Klum always commits to a look.
The supermodel, 52, attended the 2026 Met Gala in a dramatic ensemble inspired by Raffaelle Monti's Veiled Vestal sculpture. Klum was covered head to toe in white to emulate the texture of a marble statue.
In speaking with Vogue at the event, she said that she visited the Metropolitan Museum of Art for inspiration and was drawn to the sculptures.
"I was like, 'Wow, this is so beautiful,' the drape, and it's all on marble. But how can you make that with fabric? Because I look hard but I'm soft ... I can sit, I can eat. I can do anything," Klum shared, adding that her look was made of foam and latex.
Despite being able to move around, it apparently wasn't so easy for Klum to use the restroom. In a video shared to TikTok, the Project Runway host is seen awkwardly resting against the seats in a sprinter van.
"Thinking about the fact that statues don't get bathroom breaks," she wrote over the clip.

Klum also shared a behind-the-scenes video of getting into the elaborate ensemble, which required precise makeup to tie it all together.
During her chat with Vogue, the star admitted that she was "a little warm" in the outfit. "It's a little on the toasty side. It's warm in Manhattan today," Klum added.

This year, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Costume Institute will debut the spring 2026 exhibition "Costume Art," which is the same title as this year's Met Gala theme. "Costume Art," curated by Andrew Bolton, explores the dynamic between clothing and the body beneath, with the show organized into a series of thematic body types, ranging from the naked body to the pregnant body and the aging body.
