Dara Huang has sparked engagement speculation after appearing to reveal a diamond ring on her finger in a new social media post, six years after her former fiancé Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi married Princess Beatrice.
The architect, who shares a son with Mr Mapelli Mozzi, posted a series of photographs and videos to Instagram on Wednesday, with each slide featuring a variation of the phrase: “kinda chic to...”.
The final image showed Ms Huang inside a car holding the hand of another person.
A large diamond ring could be seen on Ms Huang’s ring finger, while red text over the black-and-white photograph read: “kinda chic to still believe in love”.
Ms Huang did not explicitly confirm an engagement in the post.
However, her followers were quick to interpret the photograph as an announcement, with several congratulating her in the comments.
One person wrote: “Wow congratulations.”
Another said: “Is this an engagement or wedding announcement?! If so congratulations, you deserve every happiness! Beautiful ring set!”
A third follower added: “Omg sis!!!! Congratulations!!!! U r such a trailblazer every step of the way!!!”
Someone else wrote: “Wow, that was a happy surprise. Congrats.”
Ms Huang's caption appeared to hint at a new chapter in her life, although she did not identify the person whose hand she was holding.
She wrote: “It’s kinda chic to not be afraid. Be your own destiny and start over any time!

“So chase your dreams, do your best every day, love like there’s no tomorrow and don’t think life is over when it’s only just begun.” Ms Huang attached a red heart emoji and the praying icon to conclude the caption.
Ms Huang was previously engaged to property developer Mr Mapelli Mozzi, with the couple sharing a son, Christopher Woolf, known as Wolfie, 10.
Mr Mapelli Mozzi later began a relationship with Princess Beatrice, and the couple announced their engagement in September 2019.
They married on July 17, 2020, in a private ceremony at the Royal Chapel of All Saints at Royal Lodge in Windsor.
The wedding took place six years ago last month, making Ms Huang’s latest post particularly notable for its timing.
Princess Beatrice also celebrated her 38th birthday last weekend, with Mr Mapelli Mozzi publicly praising his wife on social media in a rare tribute.
The Princess of York became stepmother to Wolfie when she married Mr Mapelli Mozzi.

The couple have since welcomed two daughters, Sienna, born in September 2021, and Athena, born in January 2025.
Ms Huang has previously spoken about balancing motherhood with her career. In her latest post, she highlighted several milestones, including becoming a single mother and launching a second company.
Her reference to “love” and the photograph of the diamond ring prompted a wave of congratulatory messages from followers.
However, Ms Huang has yet to publicly confirm that she is engaged or reveal the identity of the person whose hand appears in the photograph.
