Late-night host Jimmy Fallon poked fun at Donald Trump after reports surfaced that he snuck off Air Force One inside a catering truck after a summit in Turkey.

According to the BBC, Trump stepped off the aircraft in secret because of security threats from Iran. Instead of taking standard transport, he hid inside an airport catering truck to move safely.

This move created massive controversy. Critics pointed out that while Trump was moved to a different plane for safety, his staff members and the press pool were left behind on Air Force One. People questioned why the rest of the crew was kept on an unsafe flight.

In a comedy segment shared on YouTube, Jimmy Fallon made a grand entrance to poke fun at Trump. He was carried by two men in a catering crate onto the stage. Fallon popped out holding a McDonald’s bag—a nod to Trump’s favorite fast-food meal.

Opening his monologue, Fallon joked, “Well guys, I’m not sure if you have heard but it is being reported that last month when President Trump left a summit in Turkey, he was facing security threats from Iran. So, he boarded Air Force One, then snuck off the plane, and hid in the back of an airport catering truck. With everything going on in the world, Trump was like, ‘Just leave me in here, Okay? Just leave in. Let me know when the war is over.’ He hid in the back of the catering truck, yeah. Today, everyone was like, ‘Well, at least he has one exit plan.'”

He then poked fun at Trump’s sleeping habits, saying, “That’s right, Trump hid in a catering truck while Marco Rubio hid in Trump’s carry-on bag. The whole thing seemed incredibly stressful, but thankfully, Trump was asleep for most of it, so it’s okay.”

Continuing his roasting, he added, “Yet, once Trump got out, officials were like, ‘Wait, this catering truck was full when we put him in here.’ That’s right, Trump went into a different plane, but he left his staffers and the press to fly on Air Force One. Yeah, everyone knew Trump was off the plane because it was not flying at its normal 45-degree angle. Something’s off. We are going up. Trump was smuggled in an airport catering truck.”

Moreover, others raised concerns about leaving the rest of the plane’s passengers behind. “So you’re telling me that they left everyone else on that plane, knowing that there might be an attack on that plane. They didn’t reroute everyone off to a different airline or get them out some other way now we’ll just leave them on there and if they get blown up it’ll be okay. This action speaks volumes for the fact that the ‘government for the people by the people’ doesn’t care about the people.”
